Directions to CrossTimbers
(Not for buses and large trucks)


From I-40 at Henryetta, go south on the Indian Nation Turnpike to the first McAlester exit. Exit and go east on Highway 270 (about 4 miles) to McAlester.
As you enter McAlester, turn left (north) on West Street. Drive (the first street as you enter the city- E-Z Mart on north side).
Turn right (east) on Electric.
Go to the first intersection. Turn left (north) on D Street. Continue straight and the street name changes to Talawanda (it will curve a lot, but don’t turn off).
Continue about 4 miles to a narrow/ one-way bridge. (After the bridge, stay right of the Y intersection)
Turn left (west) on Camp Hudgens Road.
Go through the campground gate, turn left and drive up the hill.
Register at the first building on your right, Pennington Lodge.

Going South on the Turnpike

Take Exit 82 (10 miles S of Toll Booth at Hwy 9)
Turn Left onto 1310 (go .3 mile; under Turnpike)
Turn Right onto Choate Prairie Rd (go 1 mile; also called Ulan Rd)
Turn Left onto E1320 Rd (go .5 mile; also called K & W Rd)
Bare Right onto N4010 Rd (go 7.6 miles; N4010 Rd becomes E1350 Rd which becomes D4015Rd)
Turn Left onto E1390 Rd (go 1 mile)
Bare Right onto Tannehill Rd (go 1.5 miles)
Turn Left onto N4040 Rd (go 2.4 miles; also called McAlester Lake Rd)
Turn Left onto E1378 Rd (go .5 mile; also called Camp Hudgens Rd)


Going North along Hwy 69 from McAlester

From Hwy 69 take the Coal Creek Road exit (9 miles from McAlester)
Turn Left on Coal Creek Rd (go 3.8 miles; also called E1360 Rd; becomes E1350 Rd)
Turn Left onto 113 (go .9 miles)
Turn Right on D1360 Rd (go 2.2 miles; also called Free Rd)
Turn Left on McAlester Lake Rd (go 2 miles)
Go Straight on E1378 Rd (Camp Hudgens Rd) at “Y” instead of bearing left (go .6 miles to camp)
